I am currently a postdoctoral research fellow working with next-generation sequencing technologies and bioinformatics to identify inherited genomic variants associated with familial cancers. However, my postdoc will only last until the fall, when I will start law school to pursue patent and intellectual property law. So technically I am a career student.

Im a line cook at a high volume upscale restaurant. I love what i do.

but burn out is super high in my field due to the amount of pressure your under on a daily basis, plus its highly competitive, and the money depending on where your work can suck.

Ive always wanted to make a career change or have a backup plan but havent found something else i love as much as what i do now.

Formerly a preschool teacher, but I’m currently in grad school for my masters in elementary education. I’m hoping once I complete my masters I’ll move up to kindergarten or 1st grade.

I’m trainee clinical scientist in cardiac science in the UK and a masters student. I was a biomedical scientist for 5/6 years, but wanted to work clinically so changed careers a little over a year ago.

I am a Project Coordinator (hopefully Program Manager in a few months) at a non-profit organization. I work mainly with underprivledged young adults and help them re-enter the work force. I enjoy my job and love helping people but the pay, stability and mobility arent great. The only way to move up in my field really, is to move away from frontline work, which I don`t want to do. So, I am planning to do a MSc in Nursing and become a Nurse Practitioner in the future!
