Countdown: 4 months exactly from today!
Please tell me what you are working on at this stage of the game!
We met with our coordinator on Tuesday from our venue: Aldie Mansion in Doylestown PA. It went so great. Kim was so knowledgeable: and asked us a million questions. I feel confident that the day is going to go off without a hitch! It’s a great feeling to have that piece of mind at this stage of the game. We have our menu planned, our cake picked out. She even helped us set a wedding timeline- from start to finish.
Its so exciting: and overwhelming too. Heres my current list of to-do’s:
-order invitations (and send)
-book honeymoon flights
-research marriage license and blood test
-bridal party/groom/parents gifts
-book hair & makeup
Also moving out of our apartment within the next month or two. Who doesn’t like a challenge?!

My Fiance panicked me the other day when he told me we were at the 17 week mark. We have so much done, but I feel like there are tons left to do.
We still need to:
-figure out tops for the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses (they are sleeveless and originally we ordered boleros but then we were told later that they were permanently out of stock) and the girls don’t want to go sleeveless. Luckily, the shop is going to order fabric we just have to find people to make the boleros.
-get a picture made that we are using for our guest book (was going to use an engagement one but never got e pictures made time just got away from us)
-final fittings for my dress
-find the Groomsmen gifts my fiance ordered (they are lost in all of our wedding wonderfulness)
-have trial run of hair and makeup
-make sure all Groomsmen have been fitted for tuxes
-pick our first dance song and get a list of all music to the DJ
-figure out what we are going to do about cake (my friend was going to do it, and now cannot)
and scarily, the list probably continues to go on…but I am assuring myself it will all get done eventually. 😉

I’m new on here and reading about how much everyone has done, what they are planning, all the DIY projects… It has me slightly overwhelmed, to say the least! I’ve already gotten a lot done (with zero help, I know I shouldn’t whine but where else can I?!) but there is so much left to do. Especially since the wedding is on my family farm and I’m working from scratch as far as venue/ setup goes. But anyway here goes:
-talk my florist (who is also my aunt) and nail down what we are doing for flowers
-finish making menus, programs, table numbers, and escort cards
-make all of my signage (various chalkboard and pallet wood)
-figure out how and where everything from the tent to the cake table is going to be set up
-make the ceremony backdrop and other ribbon installations
-finalize hair and makeup for myself and bridesmaids
-find a way to pay for all of this without going insane!!!!
I don’t even think that’s all of it! Luckily I have all of my vendors squared away, the rest is just details (that’s what I’m telling myself anyway!).
