I am trying to convince my Fiance to have a female usher at our wedding. He is concerned with how it will work – does she escort the men up the aisle or the women? Does she extend them an arm as the males ushers would or does she simply walk with them up the aisle?
Anyone have any ideas?

@missmissy7: I’m not sure, but I would think she would still escort the women, and would offer them her arm.

@missmissy7: we have 2 of each (male and female) She can just say plese follow me, and they can follow behind and she can stop at their aisle and indicate for them to enter, with out offering her arm, unless she wants.
but if she offers a arm it will still be to the lady in the party not the man.

Thank you for the responses ladies! 🙂

I think of it like a hostess seating you in a nice restaurant, she doesn’t take you there by the arm.

I’m a girl and was an usher at a friend’s wedding a while back (as was another girl friend). We did all the guests the same, man or woman. I extended my arm, but if they didn’t take it (most did), we just walked together.
