I don’t have PCOS but I have been on both Clomid and Femara. I was not successful with either. But I have also never had a cycle on my own and they can’t figure out why. So I think that is why I am not responding to any medications.

The first round we tried Clomid escalation where they started me at 50mg and then I was checked to see if any follicles had been produced. There wasn’t so they were able to up the Clomid to 100mg right away, I didn’t have to wait for my next cycle. Unfortunately I still didn’t get pregnant. The next month they switched me to Femara but I did not respond at all. Our next move is to injectibles, I think it is called Gonal-F.

With the Clomid and Femara I was extremely emotional and had a lot of hot flashes. Luckily I told Darling Husband what to expect and he was very supportive when I would start crying over little things…

Hopefully you will have better luck! It sounds like you and your doctor have a good plan started.

I know this is an old thread, but I have pcos did 3 failed rounds of clomid, 3 failed rounds of femara.  Just did my 4th round of femara and waiting to see if that helped me to ovulate
