xdanielle :  that’s why i used quotation marks. πŸ™‚  just to explain that it’s not the way the dictionary says it should be pronounced and/or not the way it was originally pronounced.

I have a running list going even though we likely have names picked.

Perdita, Adore, Althea, Lunette, Joliette, Minerva, Bea, Gwenette, Lunita.

I agree that names that end in ‘a’ seem feminine to me. I also like classic rather than trendy names. Here are a few of my favorites…. although many have been said already. Oh, and I also like flower or nature names as those also sound girly/ feminine to me:

Anna or Annabella

Francesca

Autumn

Claire

Cassandra

Grace

Charlotte

amanda1988 :  πŸ˜‚  Lalala! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ There was a French student at the school I used to work at named Eulalie and it was pronounced Ew-La-Lee…kinda similar to what I imagined the girl you know pronounced her name

cuscotopia :  yeah it makes sense.  In Catalan it’s really rare for people to pronounce names using hard sounds, everything just gets softened.  I bet in French it’s the same deal.

My younger daughter’s name is Isla (eye-la). It’s always struck me as very feminine. πŸ™‚
