I discovered TCOYF after I purchased the $200 Clear Blue Easy Monitor. These boards told me about it.
So, I’ve been looking at my CM to try to figure it out. I don’t think I quite know how to find it. How do you all check? When you go to the bathroom? Do you stick your fingers up there? Is it on the napkin? I am confused.
I noticed the feeling of wetness throughout the day yesterday. I took a number 2, then I wiped my vag and it was full of CM (I think. I am new to this). I put my fingers in it and yup, it was egg white, sticky quality! (Woo Hoo! I thought i might have had a problem bc of crazy irregular cycles).
But, I am using the Clear Blue Easy Digital Fertility monitor (first month) and it did not record my hormones as peak just high. I have been having high days since Tuesday (Day 14 for me). I am on Day 18 of my cycle now. I keep trying to check out the vag from more CM, but not finding it. I hope I didn’t miss the window yesterday. We couldn’t have sex because of exhaustion and we were stuck on a boat with my co-workers for a “team building exent” that I knew I should have ditched to TTC.
According to the OPK, I have not had a peak day yet though. This CM stuff is elusive. I was wet in my panties all day as we hiked though. Then I tried to check for more as I took a shower.
I am not charting temperature yet because I did not know to at the beginning of the cycle. I bought the basal body thermometer though and I plan to if I don’t get pregnant this cycle.
So my questions are: Does anyone know about this expensive Fertility monitor and its accuracy? I’ve heard the first month can be strange.
How many days do healthy women tend to get egg white CM?
How many days do y’all tend to get egg white CM?

I’m guessing that that machine probably takes a while to learn your personal hormone levels. Not everyone would be at the same hormone levels, or the same temperature when ovulating. Cervial mucus is basically just discharge I believe.

It takes a few months for the monitor to read you. It took about 3 months of the monitor for it to get used to my cycles. I never went with CM, just temps and the monitor so I can’t help you with the CM question.

Agree with others. It can take a few months to adjust properly. Though I will say, I got pregnant on a month where I got no peak readings on the monitor, but I knew I was ovulating based on the EWCM.

Don’t forget, Sperm live for up to 5 days, so basically, you just need sperm to be around when you ovulate. Your egg can live for up to 2… so as long as you’ve had sex within about 5 days pre-ovulation, the potential for conceiving is there…
Basically, you can get pregnant on a day you don’t have sex. You can get pregnant 5 days after having sex…
I don’t know anything about the monitor, but I just observe my CM on the TP when using the restroom. Be careful with checking in the shower as you can wash away potential fluid first and wet hands may cause you to misread. Also do not check after arousal or sex as other fluids can mask your CM…

if your dry now, than you are prob past o.. after the ewcm, you will o, then get dry… try fertility friend.com, it keeps track of all your info.. and you can check your cm after a bm on the tissue, in your panties, or by stick a finger or two inside and checking that way.. but you do want to always check the same way.. consistency is key!! good luck!
