Not sure about my mom, but my sister got pregnant on her 2nd cycle TTC with my nephew, her 1st cycle TTC for her 2nd (ended in a miscarriage at 8 weeks), and her 2nd cycle with my neice.

I’m in cycle 7 TTC.. not following the same path, at all.

My Mom wanted my older siblings closer in age – they are 3 years apart. I was an oops!

My sister is Fertile Myrtle. I on the other hand have been TTC for 4 years and have never seen two pink lines

My grandma is 1 of 6 sisters and she had no issues having her 3 kids (my mom and my aunt and uncle). My mom only had me. She said it took her 2 or 3 cycles to get pregnant.

I’m hoping I have the same luck when the time comes, but my mother was 21, I’ll be 29 when I start TTC…. maybe the age difference will have an impact.

And my understanding is that my dad’s mom had absolutely no issues getting preggo with him and my uncle either.

If family genes are a factor then I think I should be good to go….

My mom got pregnant with me (her first baby) the cycle after an HSG after 2 years of trying. She was 26.  She got pregnant with my sister when I was 4 months old while she was breastfeeding.

I got pregnant three times in 18 months of TTC, but two of those were early miscarriages.  I am 33 now (and almost 30 weeks pregnant).

My mom conceived my little sister while on birth control – big oops but a big blessing

My sister conceived my nephew her first time at the age of 16 – even bigger oops but he is a huge blessing. She also conceived my niece without any hardships.

I conceived this little one on our first month trying and had just come off of birth control.

My mom got pregnant easily with my sister and I and had a little bit of a harder time conceiving my brother. She also had multiple losses in between us. I got pregnant my first month off birth control that resulted in a missed MC, conceived again our first month trying after my loss and now have DD who is almost 14 months old. We are on our second cycle of TTC #2.

My sister got pregnant right away with both my nephew and niece and never had any issues.

I think the bigger role genetics plays is factored into your labor/delivery. My mom, sister and I all had very fast and relatively “easy” labors and deliveries. My sister in law however took after her mom they both had to have C-sections because of the shape of their birth canal. A baby physically couldn’t pass through either of them! I’ve heard many other stories like this.

anonbebe88:  my mom had no problem getting pregnant, it was staying pregnant that was the problem.

When she was pregnant with me she didn’t have any issues. But when she was trying for my sister, she had 3 ectopics, 4 miscarriages before having my sister. My mom had one more failed pregnancy after my sister that ended in a c-section at 6 months, baby was stillborn. This baby would have been our brother.

When I first found out I was pregnant I was so scared that I was going to miscarry, or have an ectopic, and I am terrified of having a stillborn

anonbebe88:  my mom got pregnant twice planned without any trouble, and a third time as a surprise (me, lol). She wanted a third just not quite that soon (my bro and I are 2yrs apart).

I got pregnant in cycle 6 trying and had an early MC, now pregnant again from cycle 10. And early losses are common and back in our moms day people weren’t able to test so early so they weren’t really recognized then. So overall not that dissimilar from my mom. I don’t have any blood sisters, just a half sister-who got KU in high school (she’s much older than me).

Not for us. My mom gave birth to five kids under the age of six (last two were twins). It took my husband and I about seven years to get pregnant. Our second pregnancy took several additional years as well.

My mom tried for a few years to get pregnant, but then found out she had blockages in both tubes. She had surgery and was pregnant the next month with me. I have 3 siblings and she basically got pregnant the first month of trying each time. She did suffer one miscarriage at 20 weeks between me and my brother. With my first pregnancy, I got pregnant the second month, but that ended in a missed MC at 10 weeks. The next time it took 4 months and I had my son. This time I got pregnant the first month and am currently 18 weeks. Neither of my sisters have tried to get pregnant.

My grandmother was pregnant 14 times!  She had 7 children but one died as an infant.  The other 7 pregnancies she miscarried.  It took my mother 5 months of trying to get pregnant with my older brother.  I was a, missed a few birth control pills accident.  Both pregnancies in her early to mid 20’s.  For me, I was 30 when I got pregnant and am now 31.  Thankfully I got pregnant pretty quickly… within the first 2-3 months of trying; but we kind of eased into trying.  I basically got pregnant the first month we were really good about charting, timing, etc.  I’m 25 weeks pregnant now and so far no problems.

My mom has always said my dad only had to look at her and she got pregnant. First try with me and my two siblings. My husband and I seem to be the same way. However, my first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at 10 weeks. I got pregnant on my first cycle with good timing after coming off the pill. I’m currently 25 weeks pregnant and got pregnant on the first try this time too. Hopefully pregnancy #1 was a fluke and I won’t ever have to go through that again. My mom never had any losses. My sister is not yet TTC so we’ll see.

My mom had an easy time concieving all 4 times.

My sister, was similar with her one, she had an ectopic their second month of trying, and the 3rd month was my nephew.

I was not as lucky. I went a year without ovulating at all, I went to the doctor and I was diagnosed with PCOS, we did 2 months of femara and I am now about 8 weeks along with our first.
