That’s great! I had 15 eggs, 10 mature, 9 fertilized through ICSI. Technically 5 made it to blast but 2 of those were highly genetically abnormal. So we transferred 1 and froze 2. Good luck!

soontobemrs1011 :  So glad all went well! That is a wonderful fertilization report! Hope you get more good news tomorrow!

We had 11 eggs retrieved, 9 were mature, 7 fertilized by ICSI, and 4 made it to blast. My clinic told us that when they grow them out to blast, there is a chance of losing up to 50% so yes similar to your RE’s explanation.

Good luck tomorrow! 🙂

soontobemrs1011 :  congrats!! We had 17 collected, 14 mature, 11 successfully fertilized with ICSI, and then 4 made it to blast. We put one in on day 5 (and it stuck!) and we have three in the freezer for future babes. Good luck tomorrow!

Yay that’s great! Wonderful report! And also great you have had an easy recovery so far. We had 26 retrieved (21 mature), 15 fertilized with ICSI, 10 made it to blast.

Congrats! It really depends on the cycle and is hard to predict! My first cycle we had 13 retrieved, 12 mature, 8 fertilize, and 3 make it to blast. Second cycle was 18 retrieved, 18 mature, 15 fertilize, and 12 make it to blast (5 were abnormal with PGS testing). Hopefully yours all look good and most of them make it to blast! Good luck!

I had 10 retrieved, 8 mature, 8 fertilized through ICSI. 8 were still going day 5. 3 were ready to freeze day 5. They let the other go an extra day, and none of those made it. So we ended up with 3 blasts on ice out of the 8 fertilized. We were expecting at least 4 (the 50% you mentioned) so we were a bit bummed but also very grateful.

We had 18 retrieved, 17 mature,  all of which fertilized. I think 12 made it to blast,  and of those,  6 were normal,  5 abnormal, 1 results unclear.  Good luck!!!

We had 17 fertilize and most going strong by day 3, but only 5 made it to blast (on day 6, so needed an extra day).

soontobemrs1011 :  PGS is the most beneficial when you have a lot of embryos or you have had multiple failed cycles, so I think you made the right choice. I’m glad I didn’t spend the money on my first cycle when I only had 3 blasts, but I was glad we did it with my second cycle so we know which of the 12 to transfer.
