I am doing a frozen embryo transfer this month and have been taking 3x2mg pills of Estrace since last Tuesday (CD2) and today (CD10), RE asked me to add 2 pills vaginally (one in the AM and one in PM).
For the ladies that have taken Estrace vaginally, how much blueish discharge is normal? Too Much Information, but mine was more like EWCM before taking it this morning and now, it’s creamy, kind of like the pill dissolved and fell out. I’m hoping I am still absorbing the dose properly…

niki1983 : A lot of discharge is normal. When your estrogen increases it will also increase the amount of EWCM you produce, so it’s possible that your body will just take some time to adjust to this. As long as it isn’t coming out in chunks/parts of the pill you should be fine. I found it easier to wake up early, insert it and go back to bed for an hour so I knew it was fully absorbed. Also, same at night (put in right before you go to bed).

I found I had the most amount of blue discharge after waking up in the morning. During the day it wasn’t too bad. I wore a pad for most of the day but also at night so I didn’t stain my sheets. I agree if you have extra time to lay down in the morning to let it absorb, that helps. Wishing you a great procedure later this month! 🙂

BeverlyGeese : weightwatchers152 : Thank you! I inserted last night’s pill with a Preseed applicator and it worked great, I had minimal discharge. This morning, the pill kept on sticking to it so I wasted 2 and had to use my finger, which unfortunately doesn’t reach as far as the applicator. Really hope it will work because my lining was only at 4.8mm on CD10.
