So we are trying to get everything arranged and planned out for my bridal shower, and one of the things we are a bit stumped on is food. Each person will be bringing a dish, and we are trying to keep everything forkless. The place where we are having the shower is being renovated currently, but along with a fridge, I believe they will have a small stove, so we do have the option of having one or two warm dishes. So far we have:
– veggie trays
– deviled eggs
– a dip or two of some sort (buffalo chicken dip/spinach artichoke dip)
We are trying to stay away from sandwiches, and trying to do some nice classy dishes. What are your favourite finger foods? What would you suggest for an afternoon shower?

Fruit dip. Here how you make it. Mix 1 tub cool whip with one standard (8oz I think) block of cream cheese. That’s it. Whole recipe.
Its awesome with strawberries and slices apples. Probably delicious with other fruit but I’ve only eaten it with those fruit!

LittleE3: oh yum! this sounds so delicious!!
julies1949: thanks for all the suggestions! I actually thought about sushi before, since Fiance and I are such big sushi lovers, and our engagement was actually centered around it, that would be a wonderful idea! I also really love the caprese salad on a skewer,, and the pear/prosciutto/goat cheese. Nice, classy, and light!

- Wedding: October 2014 - Cape May
Pigs in a blanket- mini hot dogs rolled up in dough.
Chicken salad and crackers
mini quiche ( spinach and cheese variety is awesome)
pinwheels ( my Future Mother-In-Law makes these by wrapping spinach and cheese or other fillings in phyllo dough and baking it. Then slice into tiny pinwheels)

I know you don’t want sandwiches, but chicken salad … the kind with toasted pecans and crasins … in profiteroles.
tartlets with lemon curd or tartlet shells filled with savory something … salmon mousse
Strawberries stuffed with devonshire cream
Chicken skewers (could even be on just a bit or two of chicken on toothpicks to keep it ‘small’)
stuffed mushroom caps

-Here’s my favorite fruit dip: 1 package marshmallow fluff, 1 package cream cheese, 1 packet vanilla pudding mix (just mix it in dry). It’s to die for, great with tart apples
-Love love love smoked salmon and cream cheese or brie on crackers
-Someone mentioned chicken skewers- you could make chicken satay, it’s delicious and very easy
