Fiance and I do not have any nieces only nephews. The children in our bridal party are only our nephews who we are closest to. My Future Mother-In-Law told one of her family members that her daughter would be our Flower Girl. I never asked my Future Mother-In-Law to ask anyone one this! :/ I really didn’t want a Flower Girl because our church does not allow any flowers to be thrown on the aisle (sucks!). Another important reason is that I barely know this child and I really wanted to have our closest family member and friends part of our bridal party.
Fiance, however, thinks it would be a good idea to have a Flower Girl or another child to be part of our court because my nephew (almost 3 years old) will be able to walk with my other nephew (5 yrs old) and his nephew (6 years old) can walk with the Flower Girl (7 years old). My youngest nephew will be our ring bearer and Fiance is afraid of my nephew not wanting to walk alone or walk at all. He thinks my youngest nephew will walk if my oldest nephew walks next to him but this leavs FI’s nephew to walk alone.
I guess what I am trying to figure out is if it would be best to have an additional child added to our court. If we do have an additional child then it would be the 7 year old girl but since she can’t throw any flower petals….what should I have her carry? Our nephews are carrying three important objects which we will use during our ceremony.
