He waited about 6 months. He got the ring in February and proposed in July. He wanted to do it on a camping trip (perfect for us!) so he had to wait until summer and then my mom was dealing with some health issues and visisting a lot (he knew I wouldn’t want him to propose while she was there) so he didn’t really get a good oppertunity until July.
A friend of mine’s husband had the ring sitting on the dresser for a year before proposing.

He picked it up on a Thursday, planned to propose the following Saturday, but decided against it due to rain and the moment not being right and then proposed the following Saturday 🙂

Mine got mine custom made. He started the process in around June of 2015 and proposed in April this year so… 8/9 months! I have no idea when the ring was actually ready though 🙂

He kept it for 2-3 months. It sat in the jeweler’s safe for most of that time. It was a risk because the return policy was only 30 days. He did a great job, so it worked out beautifully.

He proposed on a Thursday the minute he got back from the jewelers. He had a plan to do it that Saturday but just couldn’t wait. We’re not very good at keeping surprises from each other

4 months…grrrr! And I tell you their idea of soon is way diferent than a woman’s idea of soon…
Post # 22
He waited all of like, four hours.

He bought it on 8/27, it was brought into the house 23 days later and I am still waiting.
He said he wanted to wait until my friends wedding was over. That’s this weekend! Lets hope it’s soon!!!

Two days! Haha. He went on Thursday, picked it out and bought it, and then proposed two days later!!

I knew when my Fiance bought the ring and when it was in the house. He held onto it for 5 months before proposing.

About 20 minutes (I was in the shower for 15 of those!) – he had ordered it, and it came in the mail. He grabbed a bucket, ice, and beer, and popped the question when I came out of the bathroom haha. He couldn’t wait!
But, to be fair, he had informally (without a ring) proposed about 2 weeks prior to that, so we both knew it was happening!

My Fiance is typically very impulsive and can’t keep secrets. Anytime he gets a gift for someone he gives it to them immediately, even if their birthday or whatever occasion is months away. I figured he’d propose as soon as he had the ring… nope!
He had the ring for a little over 7 months before he proposed. He showed me the setting as soon as he got it (before a stone was set), so I knew the whole time. It drove me CRAZY. As far as how did I hadle not pesterng him about it – I didn’t handle it well. I pestered him more than I should have. It’s hard to not be excited about! I finally stopped talking about it about 2 months before he did it because it was making me upset everytime it was brought (he brought it up some too, not just me).
I hope your Fiance doesn’t make you wait long. Congrats and good luck!

He waited a week! Luckily, I had no idea that my ring was finished so I was snooping around the jewelry store and making my coworkers uncomfortable rather than trying to get a peek in the safe and making Fiance uncomfortable 😉

11 months. Of course, he’d had the ring long before he met me since it was his great grandmother’s. So he proposed 11 months after we started dating. 🙂

3 months. We currently live in a town that I don’t really care for and he wanted to wait to do it someplace that I loved and would love to return to. It was perfect
