MemberHe ordered the ring, it took 3-4 weeks to come in and he proposed the night it was delivered. He later told me he was panicking all day since he had already planned everything out for that day and was scared it wouldn’t be delivered that day.

MemberWe’d gone away for the weekend when DH said we could buy a ring and I said if we went into jewellers we were engaged – even if we left without a ring. So we found a ring and purchased it and considered ourselves engaged from that point. The shop needed to resize my ring so we didn’t leave with it. Later than evening DH got one knee with a sweet to “propose” (this is after we’d already told our parents). So a couple of hours from buying the ring to “proposing” and then -9 days from proposing until I got my ring back.
Member5 months, and it was awful because I knew he had it almost the entire time (my mother let it slip). Since you already know he has it, you probably don’t have very long to wait!
MemberMy ring took a month to make. He picked it up as soon as he could, and proposed about 3 hours later. 🙂
MemberFiance had the ring for 2 and a half weeks. He been thinking about buying it beforehand, though. I didn’t know anything about it or I literally would not have been able to contain myself!!!!!

MemberHe picked it up on a Tuesday, and proposed on Sunday! He didn’t want to hold onto it for too long. He wanted to propose on the Friday or Saturday, but I ended up ruining his plans and he had to wait another day!
MemberFiance waited about 5 months to propose – he did try a few times before but kept getting interrupted/things went wrong, ha ha.
MemberI’m super stressed that asking my dad will hold him back for a long time. My dad is a little imposing, so FH feels a little nervous around him all the time. However, my dad has cancer and they’ve stopped treatment and are just doing maintenance now (so he could have anywhere from a year to twenty years, we have no idea), so I’m feeling the pressure to get things done so that he can be part of these important moments in my life.
MemberDH had the ring 11 months before proposing. 11 MONTHS. I bothered him about proposing in general, but didn’t know he actually had it, so it wasn’t eating away at me as badly as if I had known.

MemberOrdered the ring on a Friday. Asked my dad (and my mom!) on Saturday. Waited 13 days for it to be made, picked it up on a Thursday night. About 3 hours later he asked 🙂
