At this point, you’ll just need to think positively. I KNOW this sucks. Fiance has the same attitude about certain things he is supposed to be in charge of at our wedding. Good Luck.

Ooooooh, I’d be mega-pissed at him too, that’s a total ball-dropper!! And he definitely should have been extremely apologetic, not casual! I’m sorry…

Can you rent a tent? Or side-walls for the pavilion (which sounds very nice, actually…)? Also, you can always rent a few nice port-a-potties, they’re not very expensive and they make nice ones now!

They just don’t understand. It’s like you said… ignorance. It just doesn’t click for them.

Im so sorry!! I would be PISSED as well! I agree with Trailmix – try renting a tent or side walls or maybe you could rent a chuppah that has a fabric cover even if you arent Jewish they have large ones that at least you and him could stand under.

Well now you know if you want something done right, do it yourself… Im sure it will all work out fine. I would have liked an outdoor ceremony but my luck isn’t so great and I wouldn’t be able to handle that stress. Therefore I chose a chapel. Just make the best of it. I dont blame you for being upset with him. He would get the cold shoulder from me for days! lol

Eck, I’d be pissed too.  I’m sorry!  It looks like there’s really no remedy.  It sounds like this spot is really important to you both so unless you’re willing to sacrifice that, you’ll just have to hope for really nice weather!  And I’m sure it’ll be nice.  A lil cold or rain isn’t so bad, really.  Is the reception inside?

Ouch, that was a really big mistake he made. Can your rain plan have a separate time, like maybe before the 3:00 event? Like a 12:00 ceremony followed by pictures then the reception at the same time/place? You can always get a phone tree together to spread the word. Your rain plan shouldn’t just be a tent b/c like you said what if it rains the day before, the ground will be all wet. Inside an actual building is definitely ideal. If you are religious at all you can always get married in a church!
