daaangerzone :  TBH If I were you I would look at the silicone rings first, and make sure he doesn’t get a rash. I think that would be an easy way to determine whether it is in fact the metals or whether he is getting something underneath, or they’re too tight. I know he said he hasn’t, but I’m a ‘seeing is believing’ person and they’re a cheap way to test. No use paying over and over for different metals if he isn’t realising there is soap or something sitting underneath. Sounds like you guys have a plan though, and I think road-testing rings is an awesome idea! Worst case scenario he can go and get a tattoo ring 😉

daaangerzone :  He doesn’t wear jewelry other than the wedding band but he is allergic to so much that we figured platinum was the safest choice and didn’t even consider going with any other metal. We did buy him a silicone ring from Qalo as well for when he’s working with his hands and he’s never had a reaction to that either.

daaangerzone :  For sure ask! I still get dermatitis and eczema but it’s not from the ring bc I get it from my silicone one too.

I’m going to echo some PP’S here and say its probably the width of the band. The flat, wide rings tend not to let air dry the skin properly underneath. Darling Husband owned many in a variety of precious and other alloys and found he never got the rash when he wore comfort fit or court shaped, thinner bands in whatever the metal. He usually has reactionless skin and worked in fabrication so we know it wasn’t allergies. This is just his experience though!

My husband has a tungsten ring and as others have mentioned it was super affordable but doesn’t look cheap. Darling Husband works with his hands all day and it’s very durable.
