Fiance and I have volunteered to build a home for a wounded warrior this Sunday here in San Antonio, TX. It is 1 of the 2 homes for their 2 specials this year since the series is over :(. We are volunteering this Sunday :D. We are both Marines and have helped build 2 other homes outside of this extreme home makeover build. We are super excited and just wanted to share :o). We love helping others and we might get a shot to be on the show if the camera comes near us :o).

What a great thing to do! I’m sure the family that receives the house will be so grateful for your donation of time.

Very cool! I’ve done Habitat before but have always thought it would be neat to be a part of one of the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition houses!

I have known a couple of people who have done it in the past and they all said it was a great experience. Have fun and make sure you tell us all about it!

Very cool! My Maid/Matron of Honor actually took part in the nominating process a couple years ago and she along with others were able to get her friend and her family a new house! My Maid/Matron of Honor even got to have part of her taped interview on tv! She said it was a great experience and she really enjoyed helping build the house.

That’s awesome! I always wished I could be a part of one of those. The families they choose so wonderful and it makes me bawl like crazy when I see the outpouring of support from the community.
