Its a great way to get more comfortable for the wedding pics. My hubs was the same way, but the photog should make him feel more at ease. I know towards the end, hubs forgot he was there and things were easier. It also helped that I was whispering things in his ear to make him laugh…

@Evie19: Welcome! It really did help hubs, and when I wasn’t right in his ear, I would say things through my teeth, just to get him to focus on me.  It really did work, and on our wedding day, we didn’t even see the photogs other than the formal shots. I forgot they were there most of the time!

@Evie19:1. like other bees said, it’s practice for wedding pics

2. my husband did the e-pics for me, not for himself. but then, once we were there we hardly posed, we just goofed around and kissed and spun around and stuff like we were just being silly on our own and the photog snapped away. only after a half hour or so did she start “posing” us. and all her “poses” were “walk that way until i say, and then turn around and walk toward me.

just keep him laughing–tickle him! or tell jokes!

Agree with the others. My husband did not want anything to do with engagement pics, but I said too bad, and we both were so happy we did them. If you have a good photographer, they will make it fun and easy. We ended up having a great time.

It was definetly worth doing before the wedding, so you could both get used to your photographer and having pics taken.
