And before we can decide to keep her or not (probably not, our 1-bedroom is already crowded with the two of us and our two cats) we need to name her. She’s brown and black (sorta mottled, not tabby really) and white (she has a little white beard and white paws!) and cuddly. Any ideas? Edited with (huge) pics below!
So far, we have:

@zumbaista: Awwwww, how can you name her and not keep her?!
I like Bit. Bitsy. Bitso. Little Bits. So many nicknames, lol.

Uh-oh! Dontcha know? Once you name her she’s yours!
I’d put up a poll if I were you.

Poll up, and I have to say . . . I now know why all the rescues I contacted were so eager for me to name her, if it’s true that she’s ours once we name her. But our cats are QUITE unhappy with her around, so we’ll just have to see what happens.

@zumbaista: are you keeping her mostly separated from the other cats? You should google how to introduce a new cat – there’s a very specific way that keeps everybody a lot happier than just putting them all in the same rooms…
I like Sqeak and Bitsy 🙂

She’s adorable, but you’re right, definitely do what’s best for you guys and your existing animals!

Well, so far it’s looking like we’ll probably be fostering her for a while. Also, her new name according to Fiance is Underwear because she always wants to be under where we are (and it’s funny, which he likes). I’m pretty sure we’ll call her Bit for foster purposes though.
They seem to be getting along better now, and she’s been checked out by the vet. It seems she had a pretty hard life before coming to us – the tech thinks she had a leg broken and left untreated at one point . She’s also so skinny we can feel all her vertebrae and literally see the contours of her hips, but eating well (on a restricted diet so she doesn’t get sick, of course). But now they say she’s in perfect health, except for needing vaccines and spaying, so that’s what’s coming up this weekend if she hasn’t found a new home by then.

Aww poor little kitty. I’m sure she’s in a good home with you now though! Little Bit is a sweet name 🙂

She’s very cute and you two are amazing for looking after her!

@zumbaista: She is so sweet! I hope she finds an amazing home, whether it’s with you or someone else! It sounds like she needs a break in life. Poor thing.

Last update: we found Underwear’s owner! Apparently she has some sort of condition that makes her lose weight really fast. And she lives right next door – no wonder she was hanging around.
So, a happy ending for everyone all around 😀

Aww glad you found her owner and she is back at home 🙂
