Now he wants to wait on photos! I’m glad he’s doing the Invisalign, but now he’s very aware of his teeth and wants nice photos.
We were going to get engagement photos this month just because I wanted a summery month for a mountain photo session. However, I think the photographer would be flexible.
Now… the actual wedding is unknown – will probably be late August or early September! We don’t need these photos for anything really (like Save-The-Date Cards or reception) as we’re getting married privately. So it could be called a lifestyle session really, not just engagements.
I would be find skipping an e-session all together, but I booked this woman back when I had a full wedding planned/paid, so I should use her so I don’t lose $300. She was kind enough to do a whole e-session with the edited photos on DVD for the $300 (discounted rate).
Hmmm. Is he going to see any changes in 2-3 months?
Just do the e-session closer to the actual wedding date? Just do them later on, so what if you’re married?

Maybe you could do them on your one-year anniversary? I’ve seen some really cute pictures on Pinterest of anniversary shoots!

It depends how much work he needs on his teeth- I had braces as a kid and my teeth had shifted a bit on the bottom and top. I got invisalign but only needed it for 4 months and my teeth are now perfect. How long are they telling him he needs his on for?

Totally depends on how bad his teeth are. Mine were atrocious and took closer to 9 months to start looking normal. Took almost a year and a half to finish. Which is why I say it depends. Some just need tweeking and could totally look fine in 3 months. Others (like me) need a whole year. I’d push it back a little. Let him get comfortable. I know I was always nervous about my teeth and it affected my pics.

I had Invisalign and it seemed to straighten my back teeth first and then move forward. Could they be photoshopped (I don’t know anything about this!)? With my trays, I could go ahead and see what my teeth were going to look like in 2-3 months since they gave me multiple trays at once, could he do this?

Upper is 15 months and lower is 9 months he said. He does have trays for the next 1.5 months. I read 0.5 mm change per tray.
One year engagements are a great idea! I will have to see what the photographer thinks.
Hmm, now I’m thinking he may not feel his teeth are ready for a wedding before the weather turns cold.
