What kind of things is the teenager into?

Sports?
Tickets to a sporting event, a signed ball, or sports equipment would be a nice gift

Video games?
Maybe a gaming console or video games
comic books

Technology?
Ipod with engraving on the back
Android tablet or something comparable

Nature/Camping?
sleeping bag, hiking boots

Clothes?
durable watch
gift card to his favorite store

It also depends on your budget.

@Lyndzo:  Maybe his first “grownup” type item, like a watch, fancy pen, or cufflinks?

@mightywombat:  I agree. Something too kid-like could make him feel left out. Plus, guys keep personalized gifts forever. Something monogrammed like the pen or cufflinks could be a really nice gift.

We are doing really cool belt buckles for everyone from a 30 year old to a 13 year old. Etsy can be a great place to check out.
