Ehk, I’d wait of him to get re-checked or cleared before any snuggle-time. Some people can just be ‘carriers’ (or at least of staph) so I’d make sure he’s checked and cleared. That’s one gift you don’t want him to share.

@Chiotilidieo: I have learned recently that the only thing that Cures MRSA is Tea Tree Oil.  It works better than any antibiotic, and was found in the 90’s to be the only one that successfully attacked it.  Talk to his doctor, I also sell Tea tree products.

Sorry to hear.

I don’t know what mrsa is, though (and I’m afraid to google it after what panterapeach said)!

MRSA= methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus… no fun! Your poor FI!

I would go with the doctor’s suggestion on how long you should keep your distance.  This isn’t something you really want to mess around with… And make sure he takes/finishes his medication!!

Oh. Sounds awful! I have never heard of this. Sorry to hear he has to deal with this, and take antibiotics. And sorry to hear you have to wait 🙁

he should go to his doctor and get cleared before you see him.

Mrsa, the superbug that is often found in hospitals? Has he been in one lately?

My sister had a “superbug” staph infection (very small, cut wouldn’t heal). I should ask her how they treated it.
