I would’ve wanted it removed or covered a looong time ago. I’d hate to see another woman’s name on his body every time I saw him with that part of his skin uncovered! >.<

Ha. I suppose that’s true. Since we ain’t having kids I guess I ain’t getting tatoos.

We have watched Bad Ink, but we wouldn’t go all the way to Vegas to get it covered.
I hate a tattoo, but I would never get a matching one with him. I feel like that’s bad juju.
He did it during his “party years.” He’s fully aware that he’s an idiot for getting it. I also remind him regularly, in case he forgets.

I’d probably agree, in general. Cause I’m a pessimist. lol. But we broke up because he was abusive, which is part of why I felt obligated to put his name on me. He was peturbed at first when I didn’t, like I wanted to hide the fact they I was his.

I don’t even mean matching, just go with him. My best friend and I have completely different tattoos but we went together. So it’s like a memory of when we did that “together”, but we don’t have the same thing at all.

You don’t need to go to Vegas to get it covered well…just find a good artist!
My DH had an old one covered a few years ago (Inpaid for part of it as a Christmas gift). It wasn’t a name, it was the Fighting Irish symbol and it was a really bad tattoo. The lines had faded and bled and looked nothing like his other work which still looks bright and clean after 20+ years! A friend of ours owns a tattoo studio here in town and does amazing work so now all his work looks great.

For me, I wouldn’t care. If people asked I would say it’s his dead sister/aunt/daughter whatever.
