just ask. you said he was only going to be an usher anyway… i don’t see why your Fiance would have to ask…

You shouldn’t ask him. Even though it will solve the immediate problem, the brother will still be left wondering why his own brother didn’t ask. Have you asked your Fiance why he is procrastinating?

ETA

sorry, I misread the post. If he is your brother and his role is to be an usher, I would ask him yourself. Usher is not a role that is the exclusive domain of the groom.

My brother is an usher in our wedding, I asked him myself.

BUT I am frustrated that my fiance hasn’t asked his brothers about having their children be our flower girls/ring bearer, so I can relate. 🙂

I agree with everyone else, just ask him yourself. He might not understand that to you, 4 months is very close, since to him it’s still a whole 4 months away. My Fiance definitely wouldn’t be stressing out at 4 months. Like I posted in the pet peeves board, he even forgot to invite any of his friends to his own graduation party (that month) and I had to call everyone to invite them.
