If you like it, you should wear it.

Trust me…on the day of the wedding, he’s not going to be able to help how amazing he thinks you look.

@Theresa90405: Agreed!

Also, my husband told me AFTER the wedding that he wasn’t so sure about my bright orange shoes but once he saw the whole ensemble put together he loved the way it looked.

Do it!

I would still go for the colored. Boys say stupid things sometimes. And as Theresa90405 said, he’s not going to be thinking of colored shoes on wedding day, he’ll be paying attention to how beautiful you look!

My husband thought colored shoes look dumb too. He said he’d never heard of or seen such a thing.

You have some time yet.  Maybe if over the next few months you just happen to arrange it so that he sees other pictures of colored-shoe brides, he will begin to be more comfortable with it.

You aren’t the girl in the picture. I am sure if you choose to wear colored shoes, he will love it on the day. When I first brought up the idea of colored shoes to my Fiance, he looked at me like I had three heads, but when I got my shoes and started dancing around the house in them and showing them off and saying “look how cute these are!!! don’t you think they are adorable!!!”, the idea grew on him and he is now totally on board. He is even going to wear socks that match my shoes on our wedding day and he is excited about it.

Show him this picture.

I say go for it.

1) Guys are remarkable in their ability to shoot something down when they see it once and then love it when they see it in a slightly different version.  Truth be told, he probably doesn’t know what he’s talking about (I mean that will all the kindness in the world!)

2) he’ll have so much else to look at about your appearance on your day, your shoes will be last on his priority list

3) even if he DOES see the shoes during the wedding day, what’s he going to do?  demand you take them off because they look dumb?

4) if it’s what YOU want, then it’s what you should do.  if he has his heart absolutely set on wearing his lucky socks that didn’t really match the rest of his outfit, you’d probably let it go because they are important to him and will add some extra character to the day, the same way your shoes will.  doooo it!

Wear the shoes you want, it’s not like he will be able to see them anyways, except in a few photos. Your the one that wears them not him and I’m sure he won’t care. I mean they are just shoes. ๐Ÿ™‚

Doooo it ๐Ÿ™‚ I loved my color shoes. My husband is always commenting on my more than qusetionable mismatched socks but I do it anyway :-P. He always wears navy and black together and checkered slip on shoes with a striped dress shrit to a wedding :).

Colored shoes are such fun!
