    I don’t think that’s a problem.  If your older brother is aware that he’s not as close with him as your younger brother I’m sure he’d understand.

    My Fi is putting his sister’s husbands as his groomsmen. And both his sisters are my bridesmaids.  Soooo in my world (of a russian-jewish culture where everybody is crazy sensitive) – you put all family members in, regardles of your closeness.  You’ll have your whole life to get closer with them, putting both brothers in the wedding party to avoid potential family drama and hurt seems a small sacrifice.

    @DreamsDoComeTrue: I think that is fine…. There is no rule book (At least I dont know) that says your wedding party has to include siblings in the wedding party. You both should do what you think is best…

    Go with what he wants. If he feels closer to your younger brother, than he should be a groomsman.
