Are you kidding?  I wish my Fiance was as hands off as yours.  Grass is always greener.

I would flat out tell him “either shape up, or you are going to have to cancel this wedding. I didn’t want it, and now I have to plan it, and you aren’t making it any easier. ” Most guys have no idea what goes into a wedding, they seriously think that its like planning a birthday party

Haha don’t worry girl, I think a LOT of women are having this same problem. Fi and I were invited to his boss’s wedding reception, and I asked Fi where the RSVP card was. He says “don’t worry, I already told [boss] that we were coming.” And of course I knew that even though Fi and probably his boss both thought that was okay, boss’s new WIFE might want to know who all is actually showing up at the wedding reception that she (probably) is planning!!! Men.

Just keep his list of tasks short, and make him do them (which it seems like you’re doing — I love your story of dragging him to the ring store like it’s the dentist!), and then watch how excited he’ll be on the day of the wedding, seeing how great everything looks and how wonderful all your efforts have turned out 🙂

@ambereyez:  with my husband, I basically took care of the small decisions, and then gave him his option out of 2 or 3 that I finalized. The caterer came to our house and cooked, cuz we had no kitchen at the venue, so he wanted to prove he could do it witout a kitchen. And our photog did as well, and my hubs didn’t sit in on it. It also helped that I had my sister and bff help with most of the stuff as well

Thank you for this thread. Hallelujah I am not the only one.

The times he does speak up I wish he’d keep quiet (“wow you guys are way cheaper than anywhere else we’ve looked, like half the price!” and as girl is thinking over whether we would be allowed to supply alcohol and I’ve almost convinced her and she is standing right there looking at us “well I wouldn’t be surprised if we can’t. most places won’t let you because of all the money they would lose”) …arggghhh!!!!
