- Wedding: December 2014
so to make a long story short: Fiance was legally adopted by his aunt/uncle who are now his parents. he still has his biological mother’s last name and since we are getting married in december he is currently in the process of changing his last name.
he already filed his petiton and has his court date set. my only question is: is there a reason the judge would deny his pettion? Fiance has a speech he is prepared to give about how his last name will honor his family and how it will help him feel complete and how he wants his last name to be carried on since he is the only boy.
Fiance has never committed a crime or has to register as a sex offender. he is totally clean and his reason for changing his name is deeply meaningful to him. I just want to be sure it will all go smoothly for him.
