I have two kids that keep me very busy when my Fiance is away working. Altho, he is not normally gone for two weeks straight, he usually stops home for a night or two before leaving again. I work out like crazy when he’s gone, because when he’s home I just want to spend time with him. During the day I’m cleaning, driving my kids to school, cooking etc. But when the kids are tucked in I usually grab a glass of wine and watch a movie in bed!

we live our lives. i mean, we’ve been long distance for a year and a half so far and see each other maybe one weekend a month. it’s not ideal, but it’s what we have to do. aside from my job, i just work on wedding planning, surf the internet, play xbox (with him online sometimes), watch tv and all the other normal stuff! we talk every night before we go to bed and start all over the next day!

Grad school fills the void, though not in quite the same happy way.

My Fiance and I were seperated for three months when we started dating. I was living in CA at the time and he was back in WI. Our relationship is much stronger because of that.

Mines been gone for almost nine months 🙁 on deployment in Afghanistan. You just stay busy 🙂 read a good book, exercise, start a new hobby, take classes, etc. Good luck & you can do it!

My Fiance and I are long distance (he’s military stationed in Alaska) so we only get to see each other every 3 months or so. It’s tough but you find ways to fill your time. Hang out with friends, see movies, take on some new hobbies. Makes the time pass much quicker.

Maybe you should go to the Military board and ask the military wives for advice.  Their Fiance and DH’s are gone for A LOT longer than 2 weeks and I bet they have tons of tips and advice.
,
Since you posted on the LDR board, I’m sure they can help as they’re separated from their SO’s for long amounts of time as well.
