Er….most guys ARE like that. My Fiance is sooooo involved and stressed with his work that in the last couple of weeks (and we’re getting married in 10 days!!!) he’s completely obliviated of anything to do with the wedding!!!!!! And honestly, i don’t mind. I understand. I am the planner.

Try to let him know that you would really like a little more help from him….but just think, you have no interest in his baseball…he probably has no big interest in wedding planning…I know my Fiance doesn’t

Ugh!! Very typical of a man!! How helpful would he REALLY be, though? He would probably just agree with whatever you pick out so as to avoid further conversation about anything “wedding” lol.

@Katnisseverdeen:  Are we marrying the same man? My fiance is an avid softball nut. The man can organize 15 players like he’s a sergeant but getting him to offer up even an idea for the wedding is straight pulling teeth. It’s just them. You have to understand that it’s their passion. This is our passion. As much as I enjoy watching my Fiance play I wouldn’t be jumping for joy to help him round up a bunch of stuff for a tournament in the same way I enjoy rounding up stuff for our centerpieces. Cut him some slack!

Mine is obsessed with golf.  But I would much rather he obsess over golf than nitpick absolutely every decision I have made thus far.

And just when I thought I had it bad…

My fiance is not into the wedding planning at all, either. I must admit, he cuts the checks; however, the actual planning is the last thing (or seems to be) from his mind.

When I bring up the wedding, he thinks it’s not important.  I have just left it alone and brought together all elements of the wedding on my own.

I am just baffled, because we went to a wedding not too long ago and he had all the opinions in the world.  He had ideas and claimed to want a fabulous wedding, but I guess he expects it to fall out of the sky.

I have found it is important to pick and choose your battles.  Most important, I am trying really hard not to be passive aggressive.

Hang in there!!!!!
