Me and my fiance are the same height. Well I am plus sized and am a heels girl. I love how it elongates my body and gives me more of a slender silouette. They complete my dress. Well I am worried if I wear heels I know I am going to be towering over him in pictures. That ain’t hot!
Am I being too much or should I just wear flats? Low heels are a no-go for me. They just aren’t feminine. The taller the better. Flats will make me look pudgy. Plus when I wear flats I am like all over the place. They are too comfortable. Ugh, help!

I don’t think it’s “not hot” if the bride is taller than the groom (and I’m not taller than my Fiance unless I wear skyscraper heels, which I will certainly not be!)
…but if it really bugs you, maybe he could wear elevator shoes (shoes with a hidden heel inside), like Simon Cowell wears.

You don’t want to make him feel uncomfortable (I mean it is his wedding day also). If it were me i would wear the heels i want when i’m being photographed with the bridesmaids and stuff before the ceremony and maybe even during the reception but for the actual ceremony and first dance wear flats. compremise and good luck.

If your man doesn’t care I say go for it. You should wear whatever makes you feel beautiful that day.

As long as your man doesn’t feel uncomfortable, I say go for the heels. 🙂

@kaa02c: My fiance is also not much taller than me and I want to wear heels too:( Still not sure what to do becuase I cannot find any cute flats or low heels.

Ask your SO. Would it make him uncomfortable? If not, go for it. I’d be wary of the “Do whatever you want” comment from him as “I’d be uncomfortable about it but I won’t tell you no.” But use your best judgement.

My Fiance is an inch taller and I have decided to go with flats even though I love heels. I will have far less chance of tripping down the aisle and I will be more comfortable. That is how I am looking at it. 🙂

@kaa02c: I was taller than my groom with my heels on. You’ll be fine and can always use photo shop.;-)

@kaa02c: you can plan your pictures with that in mind. it sounds like you know you def don’t want flats and the only issue is the pics (i totally get it, im tall). i’d prob wear the heels but practice a few off-the-hip and tilted poses so I’m not towering over the FH.

Keep in mind that his dress shoes might give him another inch. So you might get away wearing 2-3 heels

I’m an inch taller than him without shoes on 🙁 But he loves me being tall and glamourous and I like wearing heels so I am wearing heels on our wedding day.

Don’t put him in the position of answering just to please you.
So instead of saying “I love these heels… but will it make you feel uncomfortable if i’m taller than you?” he will probably say you can wear them to make you happy.
but if you say “babe, i’m trying to decide what shoes to wear… would you prefer me to wear heels or flats?” THEN you’ll get an honest answer.
Fiance is short and the worst thing i could do would be to wear heels. he’d feel awful. so i’m wearing flats.

I asked him and he doesn’t care. He is secure with his shortness. I’d only be about 3 inches taller than him. And he said that would be sexy. That’s why I love that man. So I’ll be wearing the heels ladies. Thanks for all of your help!

My Fiance and I are the same way! But since he is going to be wearing his cowboy boots (which make him taller than me), I can get away with a slight heel! 🙂
