Oh my that made me laugh!
Apparently when I’m first falling asleep I twitch violently and have long conversations with myself in gibberish. Luckily Fiance thinks it’s cute. It’s often worse when I’m not sleeping in my own bed. When we stayed in Paris earlier this year I woke myself up by shouting “I’M NOT A SPICE GIRL!” Until that happened I had no idea it bothered me so much!

i am dying of laughter here. Most of these are too funny.
i apparently laugh and talk a lot in my sleep but Fiance never remembers what I say. He’s only noticed it recently too. I figure it’s because we have different sleep cycles now. although none of my college roommates mentioned it.
we sleep with separate blankets too, I’m a major blanket hog and Fiance it too nice to just steal the covers back.

@ZebraPrintMe: Shouted random words (my personal favourite is ‘silence & darkness!’, which we figure was me asking him to turn the TV off
HAHAHAHAHAHA OMG Best thing EVER.
I once had the exact same conversation with my FH three times because he kept assuring me he was awake – and was talking like he was awake – but was apparently asleep and forgot we were talking.
I had a friend who had sleep-tourettes when I was in high school. It was pretty scary the first time it happened at a sleepover. She sat bolt upright really suddenly and when “SHIT!” and then slowly lay back down with a mumbled stream of “buggerbuggerbugger”.

@ZebraPrintMe: Oh my. I think sleeping with you would give me nightmares! Haha. I’m a wimp though, if I know someone is asleep and suddenly their eyes are open…. Eesh. I’ll about pee myself.

@ZebraPrintMe: I started chuckling after reading that you elbowed him in the face (I was guilty of this as well, early in our relationship when I was still getting used to sharing my bed with another person), but then immediately went quiet when I read that you sat up in your sleep, looked at him and then laid back down. AND slept with your eyes open.
But the “silence and darkness” thing is brilliant! More of that! 🙂

I’ve done so many things in my sleep. Fiance gets a kick out of it. Mainly because it happens while he’s still awake because I go to sleep before he does.
Once, i sat up straight in bed and said “CANDACE?” (my friend)
Once time, got out of bed and walked to the hall. Fiance called my name and i slowly turned around and smilled at him. There was a glow from the hall and he said i looked like a horror movie. I just stood there and smilled.
When I was a kid, I walked into my parents room and opened the door, pointed at their dresser and said “where’s the money?”

I can have full conversations with Darling Husband while he’s sleeping. He starts talking, and even if it doesn’t make sense, if I ask him questions he’ll talk about it. It’s hilarious! 🙂 Unfortunately, all I do is kick and/or elbow him while sleeping. Poor guy.

@ZebraPrintMe: I’m on the other side of this. My SO talks in his sleep off and on all night long. He’s said some pretty outlandish things, usually he yells obscenities, occassionally he yells my name like I’m falling off a cliff or yelling for our dog. Sometimes I try to respond, but that usually wakes him up. He also likes to headbutt my head as if it’s a pillow he needs to get more comfortable in. He’s kneed me a few times; a couple kicks too. Overall though, it’s more amusing to hear him explain things in his dreams than actually worrisome.

My Fiance is definately the active sleeper in our bed, although its not as bad as it used to be. The worst was the few times we would be sleeping in a spooning position with my head on his arm and his other draped over me, and he would jerk his arms up and down really fast, almost choking me! When I asked him about it, every time he said he was dreaming about lifting weights! He also used to sleep talk, he said his ex used to be able to have conversations with him, I’ve only ever heard a few words. The best was when he rolled over and muttered “jeepers creepers!” haha.
I’m a pretty solid sleeper, although since we moved (~3mths ago) I’ve had a major increase in the number of times I get into bed, fall really quickly into a dream and in the dream I will trip, causing a full body jerk to wake me up. Sometimes Fiance is still awake with the light on! It’s super annoying…
