Wow, I’m sorry!  Have you tried sitting down with him to explain what your finances are and how this is seriously going to affect you?

I would absolutely tell him you need to go to the meeting tonight; a church may even be a great place to figure out where to go from here.  After the meeting, he can have all night to work on his resume.

I’m so sorry you’re in this situation πŸ™  I do think you should push him to go.  He’ll have many nights to work on his resume, but this is an important meeting for the both of you.  Try to look at it in a positive light; now maybe he can find a job that he truly enjoys, and he can have a fresh start as the two of you begin your lives together.

This is so wierd that we share the same first name and both of our Fiance got laid off this week. My Fiance has been with the company for over 7 years, never laid off. I am hoping this is very temporary though. I actually work full time, I already have an interview tonight for an additional part time job. I am freaking out with the wedding just 4 months away!!! We can def pay our bills with my income and his unemployment, that’s not my worry! The biggest concern I have is still being able to save the rest of the money we need towards the wedding! Hopefully I get the part time job, and all of the money from that will be enough to cover what we need still for the wedding. Sorry for the ramble. I am so stressed, I wanted you to know your not alone. Remember we are never given more than we can handle. Hugs!
