Ever experience wedding-induced insanity?
I designed our programs and had 5 people proof read them. I looked at them a thousand times. No one could find anything wrong. I got them printed today. I just took them out of the bag and noticed two mistakes within 30 seconds. Then this happened:
me: holy crap i made two mistakes on our programs. how does that happen?!
him: what are they?
me: our recessional song is in the wrong size text and not italicized like the other songs and our mid-ceremony song has the artist listed after a dash rather than in parenthesis like the other songs
him: jesus christ nobody will notice. its not a legal document, who cares?
me: but… but….
him: seriously. NOBODY WILL NOTICE OR CARE. and if they do it’ll give them something to talk shit about while they’re waiting for the ceremony to start. it’ll be perfect.
he’s so right. normally i’m a totally rational person but sometimes in wedding-land the tiniest stupidest things seem important for 10 minutes. so glad i have a guy who is not afraid to tell me when i’m being absolutely stupid!!
what wedding-induced idiocy has your fi saved you from?

Me: maybe we should do something cute? like magnets?
Fiance: No, let’s keep it simple and just do paperless post
Me: Huh. Okay. Do you like this design?
Fiance: Yeah whatever, that’s fine
Me: um. okay. Do you like the colors? Font?
Fiance: IT’S FINE. SEND IT.
The entire process took 15 minutes from start to end and cost $18. Win.

Haha awesome! We really do start losing the forest for the trees sometimes!

The offending errors… for purposes of illustrating how minor they are. lol

Haha even trying to match up illustration WITH your description, I still can’t see what the mistake is. But again I’m not very detail oriented. 🙂

Oh many. Hahahah.
Most of which involved me spending unnecessary money on things that I knew I would not care about after the wedding. Like those awesome cartoon cake toppers that are $150+. I lusted after them for so long! I mentioned them to my then Fiance and he immediately brought me back to the real world.
I blame WB really. 😛
By The Way I can’t believe your wedding is in under 2 months!!! AHHHH! I remember when you found your venue! It’s going to be SUPER AWWWEEESOME!!!!

- Wedding: April 2011 - The Tribute Golf Club
LOL, I just had this happen!
I order napkins and then realized that I needed to order more. I didn’t look at my last order, and when they came in instead of white writing (on blue napkin) it’s silver which is harder to read. I considered sending them back or ordering more and Fiance was like, no one will care, let it go. So I did!

Uh..everyday! Two days ago when I ran out of ribbon for our centerpieces:
Mister: What’s wrong?
Me: I’m out of this shiny ribbon! What are we going to do now? They have to match! It’s going to look so stupid if it’s not the same. Now I have to find new centerpieces and I LOVE these!!
Mister: Babe, just go get some tomorrow, relax.
Me: I already bought all they had!
Mister: We have 4 months, they’ll get more.If not, we’ll go to another store and get it. And if it’s not exactly the same, no one will notice. It’s not like people are gonna walk around and say Table 6 has shiny ribbon and Table 15 is just not as shiny
Me: Oh. True.
That’s our everyday life lol I get overexcited and he brings me back. I would have been commited to the psych unit by now if not for him 🙂
