So while I was searching for wedding rings, I found a really gorgeous ring online. It’s a white topaz 6 prong solitaire. Since I saw it, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. I am in love.
Not only is it so very very pretty, but the name of the ring is the same as FI’s surname and my future married name. (I won’t post what it is, but it’s reflected in a very subtle way in the styling.) I would love to wear it on our wedding day.
I have always loved 6 prong solitaires but I chose a 3 stone ring for my e-ring because I’m left-handed and they sit lower, so I thought it would be more practical. I don’t regret my choice at all because I love my e-ring, but I would love to have a solitaire on my right hand as well! I can honestly see myself wearing it all my life.
Last night I talked to FI about it and explained I was feeling unsure because it is fairly expensive (not toooo bad though) and I didn’t know whether it would be silly to spend lots of money on a ring I don’t need. But FI said that if I love it, I should get it. At the moment I am still studying for my chosen career so I don’t start work until next year (I have a job lined up). We talked about me getting it as a reward for myself for all the exams I will have taken in order to start my new job!
Bees, I am so happy this beauty might one day be mine! I love it in rose gold but I’ll probably get it in palladium to match my engagement ring since I want it to wear it for a lifetime.
