So last night, Fiance saw a picture of the dress on my phone, even when I told him that he was forbidden from looking at my phone’s pictures because there were pictures of the dress.
I don’t know what to do.
It’s the dress of my dreams, but I think the surprise is over and I’m so depressed right now.
Should I change the dress? It was very important for me that he didn’t see it until the ceremony…

did he see a picture of you in the dress? Also, even if it is a pic from a fitting you are going to look completely different at the wedding with hair and makeup and accessories. I wouldn’t worry about it the surprise isn’t ruined!

@skinnypinkmartini: Honestly, dont worry about it. Men dont remember details. They are programmed that way. Plus on the day of you will be made up with special hair/makeup & that bridal glow. Brides look SO different in the bridal shop as opposed to their wedding day. Big difference!

Don’t change the dress!!!!!! It really isn’t that big of a problem! He probably won’t even remember what it looked like by the time the wedding rolls around. Guys just don’t usually care or remember about dresses.
However, on your wedding day, you will be all dressed up with hair and makeup and will be a totally different person than the photo. He will be super excited to see you and you will be stunning.
Don’t start having bad feelings about the dress. You bought it because you loved it, right? The dress hasn’t changed! It’ll be fine!

Breathe, it’ll be okay. The surprise isn’t just about the dress, it’s about you looking amazing in the dress with your hair and makeup and jewelry and everything else. I’m sure he will be just as blown away when he sees you on your wedding day 🙂

I would be a little upset too so I understand – but there will be so much more to that day – your makeup, hair, how you look in PERSON in the dress. If you love the dress then you should keep it. He might not really remember anyway

@skinnypinkmartini: …technically, he didn’t. He saw a picture of it….the view in person is so very powerful, nothing’s been spoiled!

OH my lol honey he is not going to remember the details 10 months from now PROMISE. All is ok and will be fine!
Plus seeing a photo and seeing you in your dress on the day of your wedding totally made up are COMPLETELY different, like night and day.

I agree. He won’t remember the details whatsoever. He’ll know that it’s white or ivory and looks like a wedding dress, and he could have guessed that much. Plus, it will look totally different on you. This won’t take away from him seeing you in it for the first time in real life on your wedding day.

Don’t freak out; and DON’T buy a new dress. It’s fine, just a little woopsie. You won’t look like that on your wedding day, you will be all done up and beautified.

He’s a man, in the next 9 months he is going to completely forget what it looked like and it will not affect his reaction the day of at all.

Thank you bees! I’m less worried right now, and you made me laugh with the whole “men don’t remember those things”!!
I will stick to the dress then, but he will be punished He now has no arguments against me going to buy his vest and tie!

@skinnypinkmartini: he won’t even remember.
I showed my husband pictures of me in the dress beforehand and he couldn’t even describe it a few days later lol. When he saw me all done up on our wedding day it was still a big surprise and I even asked if he remembered the dress at all from the pictures and he said no lol

Aww! I’m so sorry! That definitely does suck. Did he really look at it? Or did he see what it was, realized it and looked away? If he just saw it briefly, I wouldn’t worry! He probably didn’t see anything that he would remember! You’re not getting married for another 10 months (I’m guessing) he will be completely blown away when he sees you walking down the aisle towards him and the tiny cell phone pic he saw 10 months before will be the furthest thing from his head. Also, in case it makes you feel any better, my Darling Husband saw a pic of me at a fitting after the wedding and he could hardly tell it was the same dress. I just don’t think many guys notice details, let alone remember them! He will think you look AMAZING on your wedding day!

@skinnypinkmartini: Glad you are sticking with that dress- agreed with pps- he totally won’t remember it!
