Well what kind of rings did he not like? Can you show some pics? and what exactly do you not like about that ring?

Can you get something kind of similar but without the weave part?  Maybe brushed metal in the middle instead?

I am in the opposite situation.  FH bought his own ring (after us window shopping for 2 months, and him getting my input) and it will be a surprise to me which one he bought. I dont get to see it until the ceremony. He also has gotten my wedding band (the exact one I asked for) but he had it engraved and I am not allowed to see what it says until the wedding. I think its INCREDIBLY romantic how he wants to do the whole thing. I also feel like he should be happy with his ring since he is the one wearing it, so I am perfectly fine that he made the decision.

As for your guy, maybe you can get him to show you a few rings he absolutely likes, and then you can pick from those?  That way you are assured he will like it, but at the same time you made the ultimate decision on which one? Everyone wins 🙂

Can you show us a picture of the style you like as well? Then maybe we can help you find something that would be a good in between? What kind of metal are you looking at?

Also, I wouldn’t feel to much pressure of getting it wrong, if he cared enough about what the ring looked like he wouldn’t have you pick it out for him.

I was actually looking at the site before you showed me those rings, and I thought the black diamond one (2nd link) would be a good compromise. Haha. So I haven’t done a lot of research (only a little when we were looking for FIs ring) but would you consider a cobalt ring as well? From my understanding it is similar in property to tungsten. Here are some more options that might be your style:

@Corilee13: Id suggest to make the best decision you can and dont feel bad worrying he wont like it. I dont see where you have much choice.

Here is one of the rings that FH showed me, and he kept going back to it a few times when we were talking, so I think it may have been the one he bought. Its a Mother of Pearl inlay on Tungsten. I think its gorgeous and will be thrilled if it is the one he got 🙂
