Thank you for all the well wishes!
Two things I thought you all might enjoy that I forgot to share with you:
1. About two months after the ex and I broke up, a mutual friend of ours told me he was still seeing the girl that he cheated on me with – until he walked into her apartment and caught her on her couch with another guy. Oh, sweet retribution…
2. I KEPT THE DOG. 🙂

@VintageDivine- I’m so glad to hear you are doing so well and your ex-FI’s karma came around to kick him in the ass.

That PIG!!! I’m sooooo sorry! That whole “freaked out about the wedding” business is such crap. you weren’t dragging him down the aisle by his hair, he was a willing participant in the engagement. Stand your ground and don’t take him back! Life is a crazy ride. Its so crazy that you never expected it, just like so many of us here would never expect it. Hang in there!

I’m so happy that everything worked out for you! I’ve been in those shoes before and I know how painful it is.
I really respect how strong you seemed in all of your posts and this situation just proves that karma is a real and powerful force.
I wish you happiness in 2010!

dereksbride2b: yes OP, make sure you get your dog rather then letting the ex-FI take him!

HesworththeWait: Hi ladies – this story comes with a happy ending (based on OP’s subsequent posts). She broke up with her fiance, took the dog, and found someone new and as of last report was engaged and getting married again. (This post is from 2009, last update was 4 years ago and she posted pics of her gorgeous ring).
