Ugh I hate garter toss. In fact no one has done one in any wedding i’ve been to in the last 6 years. I think it’s a slow dying tradition thank goodness. I just did the flower toss as I had a few single people at my wedding. It all went fine and no problem just doing one at all!

I don’t blame him…I find garter tosses weird and uncomfortable as hell.

Garter toss makes me super uncomfortable, and is a huge reason why I never go for the bouquet. Most weddings I go to only to the bouquet toss, if anything. So no, it’s not weird. Pretty normal.

My man is not comfortable doing that in front of friends and family eiher. We aren’t doing the garter toss in the traditional sense. We are simply displaying the boquet and the garter during the reception and then just tossing them without the whole digging under the dress thing. It shouldn’t be a big deal. =)

mrs.akjp:  I know right, that would be super embrassing. I do laugh at the thought of it though.

We’re not doing a garter or bouquet toss, the garter one makes me uncomfortable and the only single ladies will be my older aunt and my sister – awkward much haha!

So ladies who aren’t doing or didn’t do the garter toss, are you still wearing a garter? We don’t have many single peeps so we prob won’t do it, so I’m on the fence on if I wanna even buy a garter. I mean it would make me feel bridal..buuutt nobody will see it so its prob a waste of money. Thoughts?

We didn’t do it,  or the bouquet toss.   Sorry. But the idea of him going up my dress,  and people seeing that,  didn’t sit right with either of us.   It’s a weird,  abd uncomfortable tradition.

I find it tacky, so, we didn’t do one. Still married!

We did the bouquet toss, but not the garter. The garter can be a bit tawdry we were fine to skip it.

Buttercup014:  Nope. I threw the bouquet, everyone had a good laugh and then the wedding continued.

I couldn’t care less about either the flower or garter toss.
