Yea if he makes decent money that isn’t acceptable in my opinion. He should know it represents him. Then every single time you show the ring you’re gonna feel the need to say “oh it’s all I wanted”

thicknette30:  he’s willing to spend over $1,000 on a piece of jewelry so that’s not exactly stingy. i think $1200 is more than enough for a pretty ring. i mean he could have just bought you a $100 gold band and been done with it like many people. if u look at antique and vintage sapphire rings you can get a stunner in your budget but even new i think you’ll find a lot of options. i wouldn’t want him to feel like he’s coming up short or not doing enough bc i think guys are very self conscious about that. ur lucky to be with a guy who isn’t in debt and terrible with money! he’s thinking about your future!
