I was on Multicolr.com and I was like "Pick out your favorite color." He said blue, and I said ok what goes really well with blue, because I love blue too and already planned to use it as a wedding color, so he said red. I’m like ok and I picked it … than he wanted yellow.
Now he is insisting that he loves those colors because they’re rich and powerful, and I said I like pink … he’s like "No pink, it’s too girly, you’re a woman not a little girl." THANK YOU FIANCE. I know I’m not 16. Lol.
Ok. What the heck. Could this work? I’m just thinking if I could do blue, yellow and red together. Lol. What do you think?
I am going to make the actual ballroom all white but the cocktail hour will be very colorful – in seperate area too … and my MOH’s(only person standing) is a deep sapphire blue. I really love shades of blue.

Honestly to me this sounds like a primary color nightmare! Can you do a rich red with a navy blue and just forget about the yellow? It makes it seem like you’re going Americana with a twist…and to in my opinion that’s best left for July 4th.
However, you could prove me wrong and pull off a fabulously gorgeous wedding.
Best of luck!

Or here’s some ideas I found online:

Lol. I know. I wish I didn’t ask him in the first place. It’s like I really wanted his input, he reluctantly picked out colors … and is now excited that he found "cool colors" …
Oops. Lol. Sorry fiance. He refuses to have pink … I told him I’m going to do pink and he said he wouldn’t come – jokingly of course, but still. I dont even like RED. Lol Althought I saw a wedding that was really cute – like an aquamarine + red and it was pretty … but really casual.
My wedding is very formal- black tie preferred

I don’t think I’m a fan of all 3 colors together either… I think Blue & Yellow would be fab together! Deep dark blue or a light blue would look great with the yellow. Or… you could do monochromatic & do just 1 or 2 colors in all different shades. Let us know what you decide!

I showed him the pictures just now, and he goes Wow that’s so amazing, beautiful. I’m so interested in this stuff. I need a honeymoon.

I’m also not really a fan of all three together… that’d be tough to pull off, haha! But I think the blue and the yellow would be best together – I’m not much of a red person either for this kind of t hing. Maybe pick a couple shades of blue that you love and then throw in touches of yellow?

I think blue and yellow would definitely be gorgeous, especially after seeing some pictures of blue and yellow weddings, but the red and light blue is really trendy.
Good luck planning! I’m anxious to hear what you guys decide!

I think you should make a poll! I love the combination of blue & yellow! I think all 3 will be very busy & look like an elementary school classroom. MsHymanRoth you’ve been planning a very lavish wedding & I don’t think those colors would go with your overall vision.
If I were you I would go with a deep blue & yellow because 1. you don’t like red and 2. it has a very regal feel to it. Perfect for your venue & previous ideas!
Btw, did you ever decide on which chairs to use? lol

I think it could be fine…just be careful or it will be a Supeman themed wedding lol..
Pick 2 colors (blue and yellow) or Blue and red and just use a tiny ‘hint of the 3rd color…

I think that it could work. You could do a modern art type of feel, because a lot of modern art incorporates really bright primary colors.
I’m thinking Van Gogh’s Starry Night:
Piet Mondrian’s Composition with Red, Yellow and Blue:
Red Night Sky:
I think that if I did it I would put black and white as the base colors, and put accents of red, yellow, and blue. If he is looking for a mature look to the wedding, I think that those colors could really accomplish that.
Or to make it softer, I could soften the colors. They don’t have to be primary blue, red, and yellow. I attached an inspiration board. I think it would be super pretty and unique to have those colors. But I’m of the belief that you can make any group of colors work together.

I personally love those colors together. Then again, I love the country of Romania, and those are their colors. 🙂 But seriously, my kitchen is a combo of these colors. We are doing garnet/gold but i thought of adding blue!
