And by dying I mean I’m laughing so hard because I really don’t know what to do! We’re in the very early stages of wedding planning, and our wedding won’t be until 2017 (at the earliest).
Yesterday I was typing in my email address while booking a moving truck and my email is ashleyrosemakeup (I’m a MUA), but instead I typed in ashleyrosehislastname.
I thought it was kind of funny and I told him (he was sitting beside me). His words were “Are you okay with that?” I was kind taken aback by his statement and I said I wasn’t too sure what I wanted to do about my last name situation. He then says “My last name sounds stupid with your name, I’m so so sorry”.
Honestly Bees, if anyone has seen “The Wedding Singer” it’s almost as bad as “Julia Goolia”.
Anyone else have silly names, or is everyone else incredibly lucky to have a name that flows?

I got married when I was 18 (not my proudest moment) and when I got divorced (shocker?) I kept the last name (grace). Since My first name is Bella, I had a few years as Bella Grace- which I got so so many compliments on. Now that I’m in my 30’s and getting married again I’ll be changing it.
You can always say “I married into it” and make you smile

Lol I’m so curious to hear what your new last name will be hahah

Almost married a man with a not so great last name and my mother actually asked me not to take his name. Lol

My name will sound find but my daughter’s first name rhymes with my FI’s last name. We plan for him to adopt my kids (their dad is a deadbeat); hopefully she’ll take having a rhyming name in stride.

To be honest I have a very unusual surname and can’t wait to get rid of it haha. OH’s surname looks nice the way you spell it but the way it is pronounced is quite funny. It’s the lesser of two evils I guess lol. Plus it sounds much better with my first name than my maiden name does.
Are you deadset on changing your name?

I am so glad I love my last name to be! I tell my fiancé How glad I am all the time that his last name isn’t terrible. But, if it makes you feel better I once met someone named Sherry Derryberry. So it can’t be that bad, right?! At least there’s only one rhyme…

I HAVE TO KNOW! Hahaha. My future last name looks like complete gibberish. It’s German, so….yeah, haha, them silent u’s will get you all the time.

I’m Chinese with an old-fashioned American first name and my Fiance is Caucasian… so basically when I take his last name, everyone will think I’m an 80-year-old white lady.

Mine’s nothing special, but I work with someone who married into her first name, as it were. Let’s say it’s Stacey Stacie or something like that. I was emailing her before we met, but once I did, I had to look at her hand and see whether that was a married name or the result of evil parents.

With my new last name my name is now only 6 letter long (not including my middle name). I also went from having an easy last name I never had to spell to one I will have to spell out every time for people.

My madien name is German, starts with W, and is 9 letters long. I CONSTANTLY have to spell it to people…..so annoying! My married name will be easier to spell and sounds good with my first and middle names, though im taking it as a second last name and not legally dropping my madien name. I will be Mrs. HisLastName socially though 🙂

I just tease Darling Husband because he “made” me change my last name to one that is twice as long! 10 letters instead of 5.
He’s too traditional to change his last name to my maiden name, but if he had’t been, his name would’ve been too silly anyways. Both short with ee for the vowel sound.

That f’in movie. I have been teased with Julia Goolia since 1999. It really isn’t that clever. My new last name is actually better than my maiden name. I just understand the teasing. It’s frustrating.

I love my married last name. While my maiden name wasn’t bad, my married name goes perfectly with my first name. I’ve had people tell me it sounds like I’m an actress or something lol.
