My fiance had to touch my dress yesterday! He was bringing the Christmas decorations down from the attic while I was at work and had to move my gown (in its opaque garment bag) from the closet so he could access the stairs. He made a point of telling me how disturbed he was about having to move it himself (though I think part of it might be paranoia that he’s going to do something to damage it). Now he knows how much it weighs and how “poufy” it is.
He’s just so funny about it. When I brought it home back in July, he ran into the kitchen because he didn’t want to even see it in the bag!
Anyone else have a fiance more paranoid about his seeing the dress than you are?

lol that’s hilarious! My Fiance knows I don’t want him to see the dress but he was pretty ‘whatever’ about the whole thing. He started asking me questions about color and everything and then I told him he wasn’t supposed to know. “Oh yeah…” was his response. haha That’s super cute that he is so worried about seeing it.

@CherryA: Mine refused to even see my crinoline during the dying process. He made me lead him around it while he closed his eyes so he wouldn’t accidently see it!

Ok the thread title made me giggle a little (not mockingly!), and now I’m full out laughing after reading your post. My dress isn’t here yet, but when it arrives, Fiance has made it clear that he’s not interested in seeing it until the day of. I even asked him before ordering if there was any kind of dress that he wants to see me in or things he may not like about dresses. He basically told me to get whatever would make me happy, that I would look beautiful to him even if I were wearing a garbage bag, and he can’t wait to see me FOR THE FIRST TIME in my dress on the day. Ha, subtle…
