My boyfriend is from Brazil and I live here in the states. Within the next two years I will be applying for the K-1 Fiance Visa.
I want to be prepared so I’ve started looking things over.
Has anyone had any experience with having someone, other than yourself, as the financial sponsor for your fiance?
I’m just wondering how that went, especially in the interview.
At any point in the process was it an issue, other than making sure paperwork was correct?
I guess I am worried of the impression it will have.

My parents were my husbands co-sponsors as I’m self employed and don’t show enough income. It wasn’t really brought up in the interview other than in passing saying that it was actually a good thing because it shows that my parents support the relationship.

I am not Op, but thanks so much for your insight, I would never expect that, but now looking at it from that point of view, it has changed my perceptions and worries. Thank you.
