So its very unfortunate but I need some help figuring out how to handle this situation. I have had some issues with my fiance’s family’s friends. First it was the husband…he pointed out all my flaws when I have never even met him. I was really uncomfortable and was on the verge of crying. My fiance’s father saw how uncomfortable but my fiance was kind of telling me to get over it. Now, the daughter of the husband mentioned caused a very uncomfortable situation. She got upset with me after I told her to get off of my fiance’s lap (this was one of the first times I met her). Now my fiance wont understand why I don’t want her texting or calling him in the future. I understand that dealing with family friends can be difficult but I don’t know if they get special privileges. I need to know if I really do need to get over it and stick that smile on my face or if I have a right to feel uncomfortable with them. P.S. should they be invited to the wedding? After all, I am not comfortable with them and both of their first impressions (the only impressions they’ve given me) were not good. I mean yes this girl and my fiance grew up together but he’s my fiance now, I don’t think that just because they have been friends so long is a valid excuse.
