I want to register for the Fiesta dinnerware collection at Kohls but am having a hard time choosing what colors I want because they are all so pretty. I am thinking about sticking to just 3 or 4 colors. Right now, we don’t have a house, so I am not limited by a current color scheme since our apartment is so neutral. What colors would you choose?

I love Fiesta! My Future Mother-In-Law collects it too. She hasn’t narrowed it down to just a few colors, she has them all!
I would get the red, because you can stick a vase or some dishes out around the holidays and they will help it look festive.

I registered for Cream so that I would add other colors to it as time went by but ended up getting all sorts of colors! I think my fave is the cerulean blue or the orange. The red is a great cherry color too though.

I have Fiesta but have 8 place settings, all in different colors. I LOVE them – go with everything, food just pops on the colors, and you can just use “warm” or “cool” colors if you have fewer people – depending on the linens you use, Fiesta gives you a lot of flexibility – it’s like having several sets of dishes. (For example, I have plain black linens and plain white linens plus some that are cool blues and greens – the colors look totally different on all of them and allow me to play around with table settings a lot.)
I do not have any pastels, the forest green, or the purple/eggplant.

My mom has purple, blue, yellow, pink, green, orange and I’m sure other colors. Growing up I would always want the pink plate! I don’t think you can go wrong with any color you choose. Just make sure you choose enough colors so that it looks good. I would go with 4 instead of 3, but that’s just me 🙂

We registered for Fiestaware at Kohl’s too! People really seemed to enjoy buying it for us because we got a lot of that and hardly anything else off our registry (but that’s OK!) I wanted just 3 or 4 colors, but my fiance loves the looks of lots of colors so I think we’ll end up with more colors. I just love how cheerful it is and how you can use it in lots of combinations. My cousin also collects it and said it’s lots of fun for creating different themes.

P.S. The colors we have so far are: Cobalt Blue, Tangerine, Ivory, and Sunflower. Oh–I think we may have recevied some turquoise also. We still have it all boxed up even though we’ve been married for a month now. I looked at Mexican Talavera photos online for color combo inspiration.

I have to tell you that my Fiance and I went ABSOLUTELY CRAZY registering for Fiesta stuff, and we got every single color they make (except black, which we didn’t register for). We love the color combinations we come up with even setting the table for two people. 🙂

I just noticed I called my husband my fiance above–oops! It took a long time before I got used to saying “fiance” and now I have to remind myself to say “husband.” I guess I was excited thinking about Fiestaware!

I have scarlet, shamrock, cobalt, tangerine, sunflower, and peacock (or red, green, blue, orange, yellow, and lighter blue). I’m with jam
, the great thing about Fiesta is mixing and matching the colors together. They have so many options you can go with bright tones, neutral tones, or cool tones depending on your style and/or color preferences.

The eggplant color is my favorite

@mspony: I LOVE your color combination. That seems like a great mix and then I could do 2 sets of each color to get 12 place settings. Thanks everyone for the help in choosing colors. How exciting!

sunflower, peacock, shamrock, lemongrass, scarlet, tangerine, cobalt, and chocolate. Now, lets hope I get them all 🙂 Good Luck!
