Hey! I registered for it at Macys. Their regular-priced selection is more expensive, but they have 30 percent off or BOGO free sales all the time! I also liked that they have open stock dishes in case one of them breaks or something.

I didn’t register for the serveware, but I wish I had! I did, however, get the pitcher and some bakeware, which I love! I registered for four colors, but mostly just have two colors for the pitcher and the spoon rest and stuff.

People RARELY use saucers, so I wouldnt worry that they arent sold seperately. I have never used mine that came with my everyday set. I think the only time I use one is as a spoon rest when cooking.

I registered for 12 place setting for Fiesta at Macy’s. Personally I went with:

Scarlet

Paprika

Marigold

Sunflower

Tangerine

Lemongrass

Shamrock

Turquoise

Peacock

Plum

Cobalt

Chocolate

My future Father-In-Law bought us the 12 4-piece place settings which includes the dinner plate, salad plate, cereal bowl, and java mug. And we also registered for 2-3 serving pieces in each color (I don’t expect to get them all, but we do a lot of entertaining so extra serving pieces are nice). For the 4 pc. vs 5pc. sets– it’s all a matter of what you like better– the 4 pc has a coffee mug, the 5 pc has a teacup and saucer (both can be pruchased seperate from the sets/individually).

I have received 3 platters, the pasta bowl, 3 serving bowls, luncheon plates, gusto bowls, and the fruit bowls as well from my shower (almost everyone bought me dishes because they knew I wanted them so much!).  I absolutely LOVE this stuff!!!  It is durable and strong, and it looks fantastic when we set the table for a big group.

The ONLY problem with Fiesta (and most other major china companies) is that they purposfully limit some colors/shapes to “improve collectability”.  So, a color you love today, may not be available in 5 years to get replacements.  For example, the Marigold is only available from 3/2011-9/2012, or 75 weeks– because it’s the 75th anniversary color.  Most of their colors are only in production for a few years.  So going with a few colors will make your life easier if you plan to use this stuff forever.

The colors that have been in production the longest (and thus are less likely to be a “passing fad”) are:

  • Black-1986

  • Cobalt- 1986

  • White- 1986

  • Turquoise- 1988

The newer colors that are still in production are:

  • Sunflower- 2001

  • Plum- 2002

  • Shamrock- 2002

  • Tangerine- 2003

  • Scarlet- 2004

  • Peacock- 2005

  • Ivory- 2008

  • Lemongrass- 2009

  • Paprika- 2010

  • Flamingo- 2012

The old colors that have been discontinued (but can still be found on eBay, etc.) are:

  • Apricot (1986-1998)

  • Yellow  (1987-2002)

  • Periwinkle  (1989-2006)

  • Sea Mist  (1991-2005)

  • Lilac  (1993-1995)

  • Persimmon  (1995-2008)

  • Sapphire (1996-1997)

  • Chartreuse  (1997-1999)

  • Pearl Gray  (1999-2001)

  • Juniper  (1999-2001)

  • Cinnabar  (2000-2010)

  • Heather  (2006-2009)

  • Evergreen  (2007-2009)

  • Chocolate  (2008-2012)

  • Marigold, 75th Anv. color (2011-2012)

We registered at Macys, my man has a thing agains round plates for some reason (absolutely can’t handle them) So we were forced in to a 3 piece set. Dinner Plate, bowl and mug, and the registered for the salad plates on the side in colours:

Cobalt

Turquoise

Lemongrass

and then also registered for a pitchure and pie plate and serving plate in ivory, a classic which isn’t likely to ‘go out’ as previous posters said.

We registered at Kohl’s for 8 random colors that looked good together.  We also picked out a few serving pieces as well.  I like that Fiestaware has been around for a long time, and I figured if we have a bunch of mix-and-match, it won’t matter if colors get discontinued.  Also, I like the idea of stumbling upon random pieces at garage sales and antique stores and adding them to the collection.

Yay for Fiestaware! I registered for mine at Kohls. I’ll have a total of 13 settings with my oddball Evergreen set. My other colors are ivory, paprika, cobalt, turquiose, tangerine, and chocolate. I also have a set of marigold mixing bowls. I am not getting Fiestaware serving or eating utensils though.

@juliette.eliza:  Rumor is that white is being discontinued and it has been replaced by pink! Anyone else heard this?

I watched a shop on how they make it and the thing i found intresting is the colors are all picked to they all go together. And when they create a new color if it doesn’t work with all the other colors they already make then they scrap it so I would just just get the colors you like because it’s made to be mixed and matched and all work together

We won’t register until around Thanksgiving, but we’ve already decided to register for fiestaware at Macy’s. We won’t be getting any of the fiestaware glasses or utensils, but we love their plates and other things.

Here’s a color combo that I really love!!

Don’t know if we will be going with all 5 colors or not. May end up limiting it to 3 (we plan on registering for 8-12 place settings), but cobalt will definitely be one of the colors!

Fiestaware is about half price on Amazon. Just a thought for those of you who didn’t get all the colors or pieces you wanted! I know where I will be buying my friend’s wedding gift 🙂

Does anyone know a good place to get discontinued colors? I’d really like another evergreen setting. I found this place, does anyone know if its legit?

Also trying to set up Google wallet is not working out for me…

My entire kitchen is Fiesta. That’s all anyone knows to get me for gifts – cannisters, dinner sets, mugs, serving dishes, utensils…

I like any and all colors, they all go together so well! My favorite place for it is Macy’s. Most of my registry was Fiesta and they eventually told me to scan something else, for variety LOL.
