Hey Bees – I saw a post a few weeks ago regarding fiftyflowers.com and I just wanted to give my review/opinion. I got married Feb 6th in California and I used them for all my DIY flowers. I got ranunculus, roses, carnations, poms, calla lilies, greens etc… THEY WERE AMAZING! My bouquets were to die for! The came perfectly packaged, the colors were awesome… my mom STILL has some of the centerpieces at home! I would definitely recommend using them. Saves a ton of money and its SO easy to do your own flowers… I had the help of my boss and bridesmaids and it took about 4 hours total. So anyways, i vote yes on the fiftyflowers.com topic!

How many bouquets, corsages boutonniere, and bouquets did you need to use and what was the approximate total that you spent?
I have a consultation with the florist. If I use real flowers, I plan to get the flowers for the centerpieces at Costco and the bouquets from a florist but I don’t know yet

I spent about $650 on the flowers. I bought
$200 for 200 roses
$120 for DIY Wedding combo 50 roses
$170 for 100 ranuculus
$110 for 80 Spray Roses
$120 for 150 Carnations
Then I had a discount code which gave me 10% off. So it came to like $600. I got a TON of flowers for that cost! FYI what I loved is that shipping was 100% included they didn’t tack on anything extra during checkout. Another tip, they are very flexible on their mixing and matching in the DIY Combo. I detest leather leaf and they let me change it fro another (can’t remember the name)
For the floral supplies I did a couple of things, I bought vases from TJ Max, Ross and the dollar store. All of the other supplies, I found at Micheals. Remember to get extra ribbon because you will need it. The one thing I did have to order off another website were the pomander balls (SOOO Easy to make) and the pew holders. I can’t remember what website I ordered them off of… but the cost was like $30. Oh and one other thing I did was order off FiftyFlowers the DIY Pins. Those are super cool!!! I couldn’t find the pin color I wanted, and when I saw the brownish gold, I freaked and bought 3 packs which covered all of the arrangements. Another flower tip is for the branches(if you decide to use them), see if you can just trim them out of a garden. Yours, your moms or whoever, this will save you some dough. I also went to my neighbors garden and picked the lily of the valley for my bouquet and my hubby’s boutonniere. Just added a little something extra
SO….What I made with all those flowers was:
3 pomander balls for the flower girls
5 bridesmaid bouquet
1 maid of honor bouquet
1 Bridal bouquet (isn’t it gorgeous!)
3 Petite bouquets for the moms and grandmas
12 boutonnieres (I wanted extra)
3 boutonnieres for my groom to pick from
4 small, 2 medium and 1 large alter arrangement
8 pew holders
Flowers for my cake
My maids and parents took the alter arrangements to the reception right after the ceremony and used them as the centerpieces. I actually was not planning this because our site was so pretty – but when I got there they had placed them on the tables and it looked amazing!

I actually used real flowers for the pomanders – they were so so cute – I used spray roses so that they would be small enough for my tiny little flower girls – but they were SUPER easy – probably the easiest part – I just googled how to make them and followed the first instructions I found!
Here are a few of the professional photos of the flowers:
