My friend bought hers from Etsy and I’m pretty picky — I couldn’t see the difference between hers and the ones at the salon. It’s basically tulle sewn on a comb after all 🙂

I am very anti David’s but I will say that I got my cathedral length veil with scattered pearls for only $99 and they have it right in the store brand new in the package so you’d be able to take it home the same day.

I love love love Etsy! However I’m also going to mention that I ordered a monogram cake topper from someone on there and paid for it May 10th, it was supposed to ship within 8 business days which would have been last Friday and I haven’t heard a thing. With my wedding as close as it is I’m kind of freaking out because they won’t respond to my emails and I got an automated response today that they’re not there. So yeah I’d say being this close to the wedding I’d go ahead and order outside of Etsy.

i ordered my veil from http://www.veilshop.com and got it pretty quickly and loved the quality of it – the tulle was very soft, and the color was perfect (i got it in light ivory)

but, i ordered a very simple, cut edge drop veil, so i can’t attest to their quality on embroidery or anything like that.

I’ve heard excellent reviews on various sites about Alisa brides on etsy. I’d go with her.

I got one of mine off of Ebay and it was perfect condition and looked professional. Then decided I wanted different one, I bought that off of here from a different Bee. Both ended up getting destroyed by my cat!  So my bridal shop gave me one of hers for free!!

I’ve heard about and seen some beautiful veils from this place.

Tell your Mom that almost all the veils in the bridal shops can be purchased online at greatly reduced prices. I personally think that the veil is the least important accessory, so I’d look around for a better deal. You have them on for such a short time anyway!

Here’s one of them.

I agree! I bought both of my daughters’ veils on Ebay for $30.-$40. and they were beautiful. Both sellers are no longer selling or I’d give you the store names.

The Occansey veil was on my friend’s daughter (pictured above). Hers was around $50., but I can see if she’ll give me the particulars for you if you’re interested.

Buy it, show her and THEN tell her where it’s from. 😛

I bought mine from simplebeautyveils on etsy. She even let me order 3 different veils (different trim and length) and said that I could return the ones that didn’t work, or even return them all and order a different trim/length combination. My mom saw it and said, “and how much did you pay for THAT?” and then was shocked when I told her $30 🙂
