@Tiger29:  Aha. I figured it was something like that. Do they have a vegetarian option? Haha!

Such a silly thing.  It could be engagement lasagna.  A good meal is a good meal.

I love the recipe.  It’s so easy and the chicken always comes out smelling divine!  Yum!  //  That was almost 8 mos. ago.  No ring yet!  lol

Haha I made it about a year and a half ago, still waiting!  It was awesome chicken though.  🙂

Will have to try this recipe–everytime I hear about it it sounds so delish! I got the same reaction with the candied bacon roses I made for Valentine’s day. 😉

“Pour the juices from the roasting pan on top of the sliced chicken— this is the “marry me juice.””

That line of the recipe just made my day.  I’m sure the chicken is yummy but that is just too funny!

Oh e-chicken. Still FI’s favorite meal. I told him ahead of time that it would make him want to propose. And he totally did the day after I made it the second time. I cook delicious things all the time for him but the e-chicken. Man he loves it.

I’ve made engagement chicken for various boyfriends several times.  It’s really tasty, especially when you stuff a couple sprigs of home-grown rosemary!

I’m still single, so I call shenangigans on engagement chicken.  But it’s kind of a fun idea if you want to try it.
