ah – im glad you said that, i was worried if you were going to say a resort that ive been to and had major drama. Bega is very nice

hint, take clothing that you dont want to take back (shirts, jeans etc) and you can give them to the staff.  you might also want to find out if the resort supports a school for the local children in case you want to take some books or pencils etc. as beautiful as fiji is it is a 3rd country and these things are often happily accepted as the local fijian kids do it tougher than the fijian indians

personally im not a fan of kava (have you tried it), the fiji kava isnt as strong as some of the others (like vanuatu) and ive offended more than one chief by saying no

very exciting for you! oh, if you can you might want to attend a local sunday church service – very entertaining and watch how the grandmas keep the kids in line

even though I havent been there & it may be really nice, my sister had quite a bad experience on her Honeymoon in the Cooks with the resort etc not being anywhere near what it looked like or what they were promised….they couldnt swim at the beach that was there among other problems…
